Lois Elizabeth DeVine

 

Mrs. Lois Elizabeth DeVine of Hillsdale passed away at the Sussex Health Centre on August 29, 2007 at the age of 87.

 

Lois Elizabeth DeVine was born in Poodiac on April 22, 1920 , she was the daughter of the late George Esley and Verna May (Baxter) Adair and the wife of the late Hugh John DeVine who passed away in 1975. She was a member of St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church in Upham. Lois was always there for other people and took time to care for the sick. Family was very important to her and her fondest memories were the birth of her sons.


Lois is survived by four sons: John of Saint John, Walter and his wife Patricia of Hillsdale, Bernard and his wife Joan of Sussex Corner, Douglas and his wife Diane of Jeffries Corner; two sisters: Doris Payne of Hillsdale, Daisy McKinney of Hampton; two brothers: Otty Adair and his wife Hattie of Smith Creek, Hartley Adair and his wife Betty of Niagara Falls, Ontario; 15 grandchildren: Randy DeVine and his wife Mary-Lou, Beth Armstrong and her husband Bradley, Heather DeVine and Mark Thompson, Stacy DeVine and Kevin Murphy, Sherry Nelson and her husband Kevin,

 
 
 
Tanya Mason and her husband Kendall, Neal DeVine and is wife Amber, Kevin DeVine and his wife Jacqueline, Colleen DeVine, Robert Irvine, Carrie Hamilton and her husband Shane, Tina Smith and her husband Joe, Jennie Wright, Rodney Wright and Brenda Wright.; 21 great grandchildren: Alexandra, Jillian, Samantha, Michael, Tyler, Brittany, Erica, Madison, Niklaus, Evan, Shae-Lyn, Carr-Lee, Sheyan, Alexander, Jeremy, Paula, Brandon, Ryan, Colby, Mark and Jacob; as well as several nieces and nephews. Lois is predeceased by her son Robert and by her grandson Michael.

Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex , (506-433-1176), where visitation will be held on Friday 2-4 and 7-9pm .


A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Francis Xavier Roman Catholic on Saturday, September 1, 2007 at 10:00 am , followed by a time of fellowship with the family in the Church Hall.


The interment will take place at Saddleback Cemetery at 12:30pm .
