Dorothy Campbell

 

Mrs. Dorothy Campbell was born January 30, 1917 ; she was the daughter of the late Edward and Pearl ( Logan ) Jones. Dorothy was a member of St. Paul’s United Church. She was born and educated in Westmont, Quebec, and in 1945 moved to Sussex with her first husband, Ted Foster who passed away in 1957. In 1959, she married Joe Campbell to whom she was married for 36 years until his death in 1995. In her earlier years, Dorothy was interested in reading and playing bridge, and golf and she worked in the family business "Campbell Shoes and Sports" with her husband Joe.               

                                                                          

Dorothy is survived by two daughters: Marilyn Healey and her husband Victor of Hampton and Diane Moore and Barry Neath of Waterford, Ontario; her son: Rick  Foster and his wife Nadia of Edmonton Alberta; six grandchildren: Michelle, Ryan, Raegan, Grant, Nicole and Jason; four great grandsons: Colton, Kristopher, Sherlin and Cameron and three great grand daughters: Chelsea, Dillyn and Kate; a special friend Sharon Landry; as well as by several nieces and nephews.  

 
 
 

Mrs. Dorothy Campbell of 38 Clover Court, Sussex passed away at her residence on November 7, 2007 at the age of 90. 

She was predeceased by a son: RCMP Special Constable David Foster who was killed while in the line of duty in 1977 at the age of 26 and by her brother Ted Jones who passed away in 2002 and by her son-in-law, Don Moore.

Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex , (506-433-1176).                                                                                                                                                              

A Celebration of Dorothy’s life will be held from St. Paul ’s United Church on Sunday, November 11, 2007 at 2:00pm .  The interment will take place at Kirk Hill Cemetery.                                                                              

There will be a time of fellowship with the family in the Fellowship Hall following the Committal Service.

Donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society, CNIB, Extra Mural Hospital or to the memorial of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
