Marion was born on February 26, 1920 , the daughter of the late John and Nettie (Munroe) Carr. When living in Penobsquis, Marion was active in her church and community. She served many years as treasurer of the United Baptist Church and was a life member of the Women's Institute.  Marion was very adept with her hands whether it was with a quilting needle and thimble or a golf club. She was a past ladies club champion at the Sussex Golf Club.  

Marion Irene Sear formerly of Penobsquis , NB  passed away peacefully on November 18, 2007 with all her children at her side at Kiwanis Nursing Home, Sussex , NB. Marion is survived by sons, Bill of Penobsquis and Rick and his wife Mary Ellen of Picadilly;  by daughters Patricia and her husband Wayne Ferris of Sussex and  Sharon of Sussex; by her sister Beatrice Lawrence of Hamilton , Ontario ; by eleven grandchildren Jim, Jennifer, Patrick, Pam, Krista, Michael, Sarah, Nicole, Beau , Georgia , and Laurel;  and by one great grandchild, Summer. She was predeceased by her husband Clinton who passed away on June 15, 2005 , her brother Cedric and her sister Burdella
