Rose Wilson

Ethel Ruth "Rose" Wilson was born in Saint John on September 9, 1913; she was the daughter of the late John and Miriam (McCrow) Bramble and was the wife of the late William "Willie" Wilson who passed away in 1997.

Rose  was raised in Crafts Cove, NB, graduated from Normal School in 1934 and taught in schools in Labrador and in both Queens and Kings Counties. Rose led a Christian life, reading her Bible daily and loved quoting scripture. She enjoyed reciting poetry, listening to music, reading and quiet walks. Rose enjoyed crafts such as: crocheting, knitting, sewing, hooking rugs, and quilting; she was a retired School Teacher and a member of Sussex Baptist Church. 

Mrs. Ethel Ruth "Rose" Wilson of Berwick Place, Berwick, NB, passed away with her family at her side at the Sussex Health Centre on November 25, 2007 at the age of 94 .

 
 
 

Rose is survived by her daughter, Lena Nixon and her husband Terry of Sussex; three sons: Melvin Wilson and his wife Lynda of Saint John, Norman Wilson and his wife Sharon of Drurys Cove Rd and David Wilson of Sussex; two brothers: Charles Bramble of Maugerville and Kenneth Mott and his wife Hattie of Crafts Cove; two sisters: Jean Payne of NS and Mabel Greenslade of Crafts Cove; nine Grandchildren: Angela, Kimberley, Stacey, Darren, Heidi, Bill, Sheryl, Melanie and Andrew; 12 Great Grandchildren: Samantha, Cassie, Cameron, William, John, Deanna, Britney, Morgan, Gavin, Kyle, Keegan, Emma; as well as several nieces and nephews.  

Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), where visitation will be held on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9pm

A Celebration of Rose's life will be held from Wallace Community Chapel on Thursday, November 29, 2007 at 11:00 am with Dr. Leo Gallant.  The interment will take place at Trinity Cemetery.
