Violet June Long 

Mrs. Violet June Long of 114 McLean Street Sussex passed away at the Sussex Health Centre on October 17, 2007 at the age of 70. Born in Millcove on June 18, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Stella (Ferris) Moss. Violet is survived by her husband John, her sisters: Cora Clark and her husband Robert of Sussex, Dorothy White and her husband Orville of Quebec, Bertha Dejett and her husband Alfred of Millcove, Marie Ferris of Sussex, Muriel White of Big Cove, Leta Kennedy and her husband Gordon of Hatfield's Point, Barb Bond of Big Cove, Marlene Moss of Millcove and Diane Vail and her husband David of Oromocto; her brothers: Allen Moss and his wife Lois of Zealand, Ron Moss and his wife Thelma of Sussex, Chester Moss and his wife Jean of NS, Everett Moss and his wife Audrey of Woodstock and Harold Moss of Hatfield's Point; two special boys Greg and Matt Kay; her sisters-in-law: Hazel and Rev. Ed Wickens, Freda Steeves, Barbara Long and Nellie Long, as well as several nieces and nephews.

 
 
 

Violet was a former employee of Bethel Nursing Home in Millcove. She was a past member of Calvary Pentecostal Church where she taught home bible studies, she later became a member of Abundant Life Pentecostal Church . She took care of Arthur and Loretta Long for several years and continued to give of herself to others until she went to be with the Lord.

Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex , (506-433-1176).

Visitation will be held from Abundant Life Pentecostal Church on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9pm .  

A Celebration of Violet’s life will be held from Abundant Life Pentecostal Church on Saturday, October 20, 2007 at 2:00pm with Pastor Fred Wickett officiating. The interment will take place at Riverbank Cemetery, followed by a time of fellowship with the family in the Church Hall.
