Margaret Frances Dunfield
Mrs. Margaret Frances Dunfield of Penobsquis, NB, passed away on
Wednesday February 2, 2005, at the age of 89 after a period of failing
health. Frank was the daughter of John and Margaret McCann and the
beloved wife of 70 years of the late Harry Dunfield who passed away in
2004. She is survived by 3 daughters; Doreen Crew of Nobleton,
Florida, Margaret Brenke and her husband Charlie of Ocean Springs,
Mississippi, Elaine Daley and her husband George of Penobsquis, 3
sons, Harry, Jr. and his wife Marge of Quispamsis, Doug and his wife
Betty of Chatham, Peter of Stanhope, PEI, her sister Cecelia Gailey of
Sussex Corner, her brother Robert McCann and his wife Loy of Saint
John, her sister-in-law; Clarice McCann of Saint John, 22
grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and
nephews.
Frank was predeceased by her son, Paul Stephen, her grandson, Michael Brenke, her son-in-law, Marshall Crew, 5 brothers; Bill, Edward, Leo, Stephen, Gerard, 2 sisters; Mary, Helen (Toots).
Frances was a former employee of Pine Cone Motel and the Mystery Crater. Her family was her life. She loved to knit sew, cook and playing cards especially 45's and crib.
In her younger years she loved to sing and speed skate and dancing.
In the early 1950's she really enjoyed the Brooklyn Dodgers' baseball team
Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), where visitation will be held on Friday 3-8 pm.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Francis Xavier on Saturday, February 5, 2005 at 10:00 am. The interment at Cardwell Cemetery in the spring.
