Doris Mercer

Doris May Mercer, of Lower Millstream, passed away at Saint John Regional Hospital on February 17, 2003, surrounded by her family. Born in Saltsprings, NB on May 21, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Alice (Mercer) Bray.

Doris is survived by her beloved husband of 50 years Victor, her daughter, Catherine Gamblin and her husband David of Passekage, her sons, Sydney and his wife Lorenda of Snider Mountain, Neal and his fiancé, Erica Foster of Sussex, grandsons, Kirk Gamblin and his wife Amanda, Kalan and Isaac Mercer, granddaughters, Kyla Gamblin and Brittany Mercer, great grandson, Brandan Gamblin, her aunt, Rose Gregory of Coventry, England, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), where the family will be receiving relatives and friends on Wednesday 2-4, 7-9. The Funeral Service will be held from Lower Millstream United Baptist on Thursday, February 20, 2003 at 3:00 pm, with Rev. Allison MacLean officiating. Interment will take place at Riverbank Cemetery in the spring.

As an expression of sympathy donations may be made to the N.B. Lung Association or to the memorial of the donors choice would be appreciated by the family.
