Roland H. Hawkes

Roland H. Hawkes of 25 Barton Road, Wards Creek, NB, passed away at Sussex Health Centre on February 20, 2003. Roland was born in Walker Settlement, NB on July 14, 1928, he was the son of the late William and Mary (Chambers) Hawkes and the beloved husband of the late Evelyn Eurilla (Robinson) Hawkes who passed away in 1998.

Roland is survived by 2 daughters, Evelyn Richardson and her husband David of Urney, Linda Buchanan and her husband Jim of Hammondvale, 3 sons, Don and his wife Carol of Sussex, Bryant and his wife Gwen of Wards Creek and Allan and his wife Ann of Sussex Corner; 2 brothers Murray Hawkes and his wife Eileen, Waterford, Harry of Saint John, his sister Mary Patterson Carsonville, 14 grandchildren; Travis, Tina, Darryll, Jerod, Diane, Allen, Wally, Greg, Lisa, Rhonda, Kelly, Richard, Cassie, Twyla, 14 great grandchildren; Samantha, Mikayla, Nicholas, Brianna, Justin, Daniel, Adelaide, Samantha, Miranda, Clayborn, Laura, Breanna, Kiley, Austin, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Roland was predeceased by 3 brothers Jim, Bob and Garnett and by 2 sisters Doris and Marjorie

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), where the family will be receiving relatives and friends on Friday 2-4,7-9. The Funeral Service will be held from Wallace Memorial Chapel on Saturday, February 22, 2003 at 2:00 pm, with Rev. David Barrett and Rev. Allan Harwood officiating. Interment will take place at Trinity Cemetery in the spring.
