John Douglas Dunfield

Mr. John Douglas Dunfield of Sussex passed away on January 3, 2012 at the age of 57.

Born in Sussex on October 23, 1954, he was the son of the late Stanley and Georgia (Folkins) Dunfield.

John worked carpentry for over 35 years. He was a very private man that loved his family, his children and spending time with his grandchildren. At home you could always find him watching sports, especially his beloved "New England Patriots", with his beloved dog Heidi, curled up on the couch with him.

John is survived by his son Nicholas and his wife Aimee of Hampton and his daughter Robin of Newtown; three sisters; Jean Ewart and her husband Glen of Sussex Corner, Linda Mills and her husband George of Saint John and Ann Hawkes and her husband Allan of Sussex Corner; his brother: Murray and his wife Brenda of Berwick; grandchildren: Braden and Ellia as well as several nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), where visitation will be held on Friday, January 6, 2012 from 6-9pm.

A Celebration of John’s life will be held from Wallace Community Chapel on Saturday, January 7, 2012 at 11:00 am. The private family interment will take place at Lester Cemetery.

As an expression of sympathy donations made to the Living Memorial or to the memorial of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
