I had mrs shannon as a grade 5 teacher and i loved her dearly .she was one of the nicest ladies you would ever want to meet .yes we as kids pulled a lot of tricks on her ,but it all was in fun ,she laughed as much as we did .She will be missed for sure, she helped out at the Sussex Sharing Club when i was there working ,she never seemed to tire out like some of us .. My prayers are with her family ..One great teacher and ladySubmitted by Lloyd & Janet MacKenzie
Sam, Judy, Shirley, Bob & Families: I was sorry to hear of your Mother's passing but please take comfort in the fullness of her life and the countless people that she helped along the way. Certainly I am one of them. Aunt Mildred was all about education and bettering one's life as demonstrated by her own actions and the encouragement that she passed along to each of you and others such as myself. She engrained in me the principle of making the most of life's opportunities. I could never have achieved the standard of living that I enjoy today if not for Aunt Mildred's advice and guidance. I'm certain that there are dozens of her former students out there who would readily concur. Due to previous commitments we will be unable to attend visitation today or this evening but hope to see you all tomorrow. LloydSubmitted by Frances Sharp

Harold has fond memories of your mom as his teacher and I was comforted by her presence during my first interview for teaching. She was loved and respected by everyone in the teaching profession. Our thoughts are with you.Submitted by David and Merle Balmain
Bob and Sue: We are so sorry to learn, Bob, of your mom's passing We only have one Mom in this life and we know that it will be the memories that will give you comfort at this time. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.Submitted by Chris (Boyd) Sprague
Judy, Shirley, Bob and Sam I will always remember the visits by your family to our farm in Belleisle when we were all kids. I also remember being at her home where she taught me to make apple pies. But the best memories I have of your Mom are as an adult when we both were school trustees. We were on a provinical trustee committee and I remember how happy we both were to remeet after all those years. Your Mom was a smart lady, a great teacher, gracious and caring. Her efforts were always for the students and what would assist them in becoming contributing adults. May you have wonderful memories to ease your loss. Love to all, Chris
