“The
Ultimate Gift is Life,
and life should be celebrated, not forgotten.”
With your generous support and the support of our business community, we
will be able to create the first
Serenity
Garden of its kind it will
be the keeper of memories.
“The Peoples
Serenity
Garden” will be located on Sunnyside Dr. on
the vacant lot between the home of Mrs. Margaret (Peggy) McKenna and
Wallace Funeral Home. It will be a place to go to find comfort, peace of
mind and reflection. This Garden is truly unlike any other; it will be
built and planted by the people for the people.
Each portion of a garden
will offer a place of peace and repose, quiet and reflection. We are
creating theme gardens dedicated to a feeling of calm and relaxed
enjoyment in memory of your loved one,
with every tree, shrub, bush and flower planted by you (or your
representative).
We are creating a
space that is personally peace invoking, with certain aspects of each
garden to offer a spiritual, calm and peaceful feeling in an serene
atmosphere. A bronze plaque will be placed in each garden in the memory
of the people being honoured. Everyone deserves to be remembered
regardless of when or where they passed away.
|
With your generous support; “The Peoples Serenity Garden” will
include a large waterfall and babbling brook, granite park
benches, a gazebo, bird baths and feeders, a winding path of
tranquility, beautiful gardens filled with the aroma of fragrant
flowers and the tranquil sounds of soft music, running water and
singing birds.
|

|
As the Garden grows, there will be an area in pink planted by breast
cancer survivors, an area of Daises in support of Liver Foundation,
forget-me-not in support of the Alzheimer’s society, Daffodils in
support of the Canadian Cancer Society and so on.
“This is where you can see your seed money grow.” said, Peggy McKenna
our first major sponsor. “Your sponsorship will build a dream”.
Like
our garden, a community doesn't just happen, it grows person by person.
As a Community we are
transforming the creating of a simple garden into a lasting difference
in our own lives and in the lives of others. This garden will be bring
many gifts, the gift of work, friendship, laughter, dreams, giving,
gratitude, remembrance and love.
|

|
We can all begin to
share the gift and bring “The Peoples Serenity Garden to
the community. It
has been my experience that behind
every person lies a touching source of inspiration. It is this
community that has inspired this spectacular garden and if
you dare to believe the impossible, the incredible can come
true.

We need your help, your financial donation is greatly
appreciated but it doesn’t stop there, every person is welcome
to purchase an item from our Serenity Garden list and donate it
in memory of your loved one, anything from a single bulb to the
large gazebo. |
|
Life is how you live it... not only how you spend it. Donating
your time and talent is also a precious gift. We need more than
just money, share the gift, change your world, give of your
time.
|

Our build a Waterfall day will be April 26th and 27th.
|
Honor your parents on Mother’s and Father’s Day by ordering one of the
many items available in The Peoples Serenity Garden, we will be building
the planting gardens in May and our Memorial Planting Days will be June
14th. Please come and be part of this magnificent community
project. A life experience becomes a gift … Dare to Give.
The peace you will receive, the gratitude you will experience, and your
renewed dedication to share in your community will be with you always.
May the comfort you feel and the peace you find, bring you an
opportunity to heal wounds and generate new life.
“Love is a treasure for which we
can never pay. The only way we keep it is to give it away” -the love
gift

Peace is in all that surrounds us
as the gentle spring rain dances
on soft velvet petals
birds are softly singing
while a butterfly lands
Peace is in all that surrounds us
as the gentle spring rain dances
on soft velvet petals
birds are softly singing
while a butterfly lands
listen to nature's sounds
Gentle breezes blowing
hummingbirds frolicking among
the bright red blossoms
open lush grassy fields
linger a little longer to savor
the peaceful surroundings
The grace and beauty of the garden is
illuminated for all to see
bringing a message of hope
to those who are listening

“The People Serenity Garden”
Sometimes words are just not needed
Sometimes we just need to be quiet within
Cleanse your emotions and allow them to flow
You are free to express and move to the rhythms
of your soul
Here you may dream what you want to dream
Go where you want to go
Be whatever you want to be
Let go of your pains...your fears
The angels are near and God will hold you close
Here you are at peace...at last”
